To start, you must roll a die to choose who goes first. The highest number starts the game, follows by the person to their right. At the start of your turn, you move your first piece out of the home spot for free and roll! Once all the mice players have rolled their die, the snake gets to move! Watch out because the snake can catch up to the mice quickly.
It goes to the first mice player's turn. They must draw a movement card first, roll one die, and either play a movement card or end their turn.
After the player rolls their die and lands on a spot, they can play their card to move forward that many spaces. After they play it, they must discard it into the snake pile face up. If they don't play the card, they must draw from the top of the card pile and put it on the snake pile.
If a snake lands on the same place as a mouse, the unlucky player must move that piece into the cage! But if a mouse lands on a snake, they just move back one spot without being captured.
Don't worry, mouse, another friend can stop by to break everyone out! The player must end their turn after doing so. They can only free you if all of your pieces are in jail or in home.
The safe spot on the board prevents any captures. Watch out though, as if a snake or a mouse lands on the same spot, they kick you forward to the next space available!
Watch out for this spot! If a snake lands on that space,they capture any mice up to the burrow space!
They are lucky cards that only apply to the mice. After playing the card, if available, you can use your movement cards if wanted!
Once 8 or more mice land in the home space, the mice are happy and are able to eat all the food! Each mouse player gets 4 mice to play with. To have more than 1 mouse on the board, you must roll 5 or higher.
If the snake captures 8 mice in the cage, then the mice team loses. It goes both ways for the goals.
